Harvest quality is a complex characteristic that depends on balanced mineral nutrition, the biological traits of crops, and environmental conditions. For an agronomist and a practicing gardener, managing this indicator is a key task, as the economic efficiency of production depends on the biochemical composition of the fruits, their marketability, and their shelf life. In this collection, we examine how methods of agrochemistry, breeding, and plant protection allow for purposeful influence on the formation of crop productivity, while minimizing the negative impact of diseases and soil-climatic factors.
Readers are offered a detailed analysis of agrotechnical practices for vegetable growing and viticulture: from optimizing nutrition and irrigation regimes to pruning bushes and selecting sites based on relief and soil composition.
