Herbicides remain the primary tool for weed control in modern crop production. Effective application of chemical plant protection products allows not only to minimize competition between weeds and crops, but also to preserve yield potential in various agrocenoses — from grain and industrial crops to vineyards. At the same time, the key aspect of protection today is the prevention of resistance and adherence to application technologies, which requires an agronomist to have a deep understanding of weed biology and the mechanisms of action of the products.
In this collection, we have systematized relevant materials concerning weed control, including work with invasive species and the use of herbicides in mixed crops.
