Morphological characteristics of Lehmann's dodder seed and the harmfulness of the weed

-- The capsules are large, oval. The seeds are obovate, angular, oval-oblong. The apex is rounded, slightly widening towards the base, with a sharply protruding beak. They are compressed on the sides, raised and convexly rounded on one side, and triangular-faceted or slightly concave on the other. The seed hilum is oval, located under the protrusion. The surface is pitted-rough, matte. The color is light yellow, yellowish-gray, or brown. Length 3.25–4.25 mm, width 2.25–3 mm, thickness 1.75–2 mm. It infests and damages berry crops, fruit trees, shrubs, alfalfa crops, and cotton. Distribution: Central Asia. Toxic properties: indicated above.
