The TP-F-45 semi-trailed pick-up is designed for picking up wilted grass with a moisture content of up to 45%, hay, and straw from windrows with or without shredding, as well as for transport and mechanical unloading. It can be used for transporting silage and other forage crops. The machine consists of a frame 5, a pick-up unit 1, a packing device 7, a conveyor 6, hydraulic and braking systems, electrical equipment, and a container formed by side 2, front, and rear 4 walls. The top of the container is covered by a canopy 3, which is designed to be foldable for convenient transport. The frame is attached to a 1.4 traction class tractor via a drawbar using a special hitch device mounted on the tractor. The packing device 7 features a cutting mechanism consisting of 16 spring-loaded blades, which ensures protection against breakage in case of foreign objects entering. The cutting mechanism can be disengaged from the operating position by shifting it backward. The conveyor 6 is driven by a hydraulic motor. The drawbar, pick-up unit, canopy, and rear wall are raised by hydraulic cylinders. The TP-F-45 is equipped with a container filling indicator linked to the tractor’s acoustic signal, and is also fitted with pneumatic brakes and light signaling lamps. The mass, picked up from the windrow by the spring tines of the pick-up unit 1, is compacted by the packing device 7 and pushed into the container. When the cutting mechanism is engaged, the plants are shredded.

After the front part of the container is filled to the limit of the canopy 3 ropes, the conveyor 6 is engaged, and the hay is moved further into the container. With the help of the conveyor, it is evenly distributed throughout the volume of the container. The conveyor is engaged periodically 3–4 times, forming a stack of up to 5 t in the container. Then the pick-up unit is raised, its drive is switched off, and the unit with the stack is transported by the tractor to the unloading site. The mass is unloaded by the conveyor 6 through the openable rear wall 4. Unloading time is 2 min. The machine is operated by the tractor driver. Its productivity when picking up hay from windrows and transporting the mass over a distance of up to 8 km is 15 t/h. The working width of the pick-up is 1.6 m.

PF-0.5 Loader-Stacker The PF-0.5 loader-stacker is designed for stacking hay, short-distance transport, and loading various goods. It is a hydraulically operated lifting crane with interchangeable working implements. The loader consists of a rake grid 1 and a covering grid 2, a pushing wall 3, a lifting frame 5 with stay wires, support 9 and front frames, as well as braces for mounting the loader onto a tractor of 1.4 traction class. To ensure stability, a bucket with ballast is attached to the tractor.

When stacking hay, the rake grid 1 is lowered to the ground in front of the haycock, and the covering grid 2 is raised; by moving the tractor forward, the rake grid 1 is positioned under the haycock. After lowering the covering grid 2 and lifting the haycock, the operator approaches the stack, lowers the haycock onto it, raises the covering grid 2, and uses the pushing wall 3 to slide the haycock off the grid onto the stack. The maximum lifting height is 7–8 m.
