Any agricultural technology — from precise sowing to timely harvesting — depends on the human factor. To ensure that machine operators do not make mistakes in the field and agronomists perform plant protection measures on time, a farm manager needs to correctly build a management system. To do this, three main groups of methods for influencing the team are used: economic, administrative, and socio-psychological.

How to combine economics, orders, and psychology in an enterprise

Economic methods influence the material interests of employees and compel them to consciously observe technology for the sake of their own income. At the farm level, work planning and result analysis are used for this, as well as internal economic factors, including profit distribution. The main tool here is the material stimulation of employees.

  • Additional remuneration, the size of which is directly tied to the volume and quality of the work performed.
  • Bonus payments for high individual performance in specific operations.
  • A transparent system for distributing a portion of the enterprise's profit at the end of the season.

Material stimulation of employees will be effective only when it is transparent and paid on time. An employee must clearly understand exactly what they received a bonus for.

The state also influences the farm's economy from the outside through pricing, the taxation system, lending, and insurance. These levers determine the external working conditions of the enterprise. An important tool for business development is also participation in the priority national project "Development of the Agro-Industrial Complex".

Organizational and regulatory (administrative) methods are built on discipline, the authority of the manager, and the diligence of subordinates. They allow for establishing order in production and clearly distributing responsibilities. These methods are divided into two groups:

  • Organizational methods — create the foundation for work. This includes the development of the farm's staffing structure, job descriptions, internal labor regulations, and protocols that determine the conditions for the enterprise's operation.
  • Regulatory methods — help to manage processes operationally in the current mode. These include management orders, instructions, directives, as well as resolutions of boards and meetings.

Socio-psychological methods are aimed at managing processes within the team. They help to increase people's work activity due to a healthy moral climate and conditions for personal self-realization. To do this, management uses a set of social measures focused on employees and their families.

  • Professional training of employees at the expense of the enterprise and creating conditions for their career growth.
  • Moral encouragement for success at work and compliance with professional ethics.
  • Creation of favorable social conditions in production.
  • Social planning aimed at creating a comfortable environment for the life of the employee and their family.

Do not rely exclusively on one management method — for example, only on strict orders or only on bonuses. Maximum return is provided only by the joint and balanced use of all three approaches.
