Economics

Statistics from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) demonstrate a steady growth in the involvement of agricultural sector professionals in the digital environment. While the share of workers using the internet was 38.6% in 2017, by 2022 the figure reached 71%, and in 2026 it reached 86%.

The growth dynamics have been consistent over the past few years: in 2019, 53.1% of specialists used the internet, 58.2% in 2020, 62% in 2021, 76.1% in 2023, 79.1% in 2024, and 85.3% in 2025.

The expansion of network access is attributed to the widespread adoption of modern technologies. The use of artificial intelligence and automated production management systems requires a stable internet connection, which directly impacts productivity and quality metrics in the industry. For comparison, the total share of internet users in Turkey among the population aged 16 to 74 in 2026 was 92.3%, and 100% among office staff.
