The National Board for Technical Education is accrediting the college in Gombe

The purpose of the inspection, led by the NBTE Director of Polytechnic and Allied Programs, Elder Ayo Aroge, is to evaluate the infrastructure, equipment, staff, and other resources of the educational institution. The commission is verifying the institution's compliance with established regulatory requirements under the leadership of the NBTE Executive Secretary, Professor Idris Muhammad Bugaje.

As part of the procedure for full accreditation, the following programs have been submitted: Agribusiness Management (HND), Fisheries Technology (HND), Microbiology (HND), Cooperative Economics and Management (HND), Social Development (ND), Computer Science (ND), as well as Library and Information Science (ND). In addition, programs for Agricultural Production and Extension Management (HND) and Pest Control Technology (HND) have been submitted for re-accreditation. A resource inspection is also being conducted for the following majors: Microbiology (HND), Cybersecurity and Data Protection (HND), and Social Development (HND).

The Provost of the college, Dr. Umar Abdullahi, stated that the institution has independently funded infrastructure improvements and the recruitment of qualified specialists through internal reserves, without utilizing TETFund resources. Based on the inspection results, the commission noted the progress in the college's development and the qualitative upgrading of several programs.

The inspectors pointed out the need to address a number of minor observations to bring all processes into line with required standards. The Provost expressed the college management's readiness to fulfill all of the commission's requirements in the shortest possible time to ensure that students have access to quality education.
