The first auction of Simmental pedigree bulls was held in Auckland.

The unique feature of the past event lies in its location: the auction was organized directly on a farm within the city limits. According to the organizers, the animals raised in the urban conditions of Cornwall Park are distinguished by their calm temperament and good adaptability, which makes them some of the most docile representatives of the breed in daily livestock handling practice.

The presented Simmental bulls were aimed at breeders for use in purebred and crossbred herds, as this breed is valued for its good performance when crossed with other types of livestock. Despite the fact that the trading floor was operating for the first time, the auction was dynamic: the entire procedure took about 30 minutes.

The auction results were high against the backdrop of the current state of the beef market. The average price per lot was $5615, with the cost of the most expensive bull reaching $8000. The funds received from the sale of livestock will be directed toward the further development of the park's infrastructure and the maintenance of farming operations.
