Nitin Gadkari defended the ethanol fuel program and the benefits for farmers

Speaking at the Bihar Investor Summit 2026, Nitin Gadkari came out in defense of the government's ethanol fuel blending program. He refuted claims that ethanol-blended petrol is capable of damaging vehicles and challenged opponents to produce at least one car harmed by such fuel. The minister recalled that millions of vehicles have been using mixed fuel since 2022.

In addition, the double benefit of this initiative was emphasized during the speech. According to the minister, the program helps reduce fuel imports into the country and also opens up new opportunities for additional earnings for farmers involved in ethanol production.
