Mother Dairy has opened a butter chiplet production line in Gujarat

Mother Dairy is expanding its presence in the butter segment by launching a new production line in Junagadh, Gujarat. The annual capacity of the facility is 550 tonnes. The new infrastructure has been established at Mother Dairy's existing milk processing plant located in the Gandhigram area of Junagadh district (Junagadh Dairy, operated by Mother Dairy Fruit and Vegetable Pvt Ltd).

The facility has become the company's first site in the country to produce butter chiplets, from which products will be supplied to markets across India. This step is associated with expanding the product range through a new 10-gram portioned butter format. This format is designed for consumer convenience and to strengthen the company's position in the packaged butter market by providing its own production base for the new product.
