In the Madhesh province, the second stage of mineral fertilizer supply has begun.

The decision to commence shipments was made by the Ministry of Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives of Madhesh Province. Currently, the distribution of chemical fertilizer is helping to reduce the shortage that has been observed in the region recently.

According to Bechan Sah, Public Relations Officer at the Agricultural Inputs Company Limited in Janakpurdham, 979 metric tons of DAP and 926 metric tons of urea have been allocated for the Dhanusha district. 931 metric tons of DAP and 880 metric tons of urea have been sent to the Mahottari district. Furthermore, the company's warehouse in Janakpurdham currently holds a stock of 2.6 metric tons of urea.

Previously, logistical processes were temporarily interrupted due to the imposition of a curfew and restrictive measures in districts associated with incidents in Sunsari and Siraha. At the moment, transport links have been restored, which has allowed for the resumption of fertilizer delivery to farmers.
