Foreign investors assessed the agro-industrial potential of Delta State.

Interest in the state's agro-industrial sector was sparked following a visit by foreign state representatives to production sites during an economic and investment summit. Specifically, delegations inspected the facilities of Uzezi Farms in Owhe, as well as visited Skyward Resources Group in Olor and the Kwale Special Economic Zone.

The Brazilian side, represented by the agribusiness delegation leader Roberto Fonseca, announced plans to invest in cassava processing. Furthermore, Brazil expressed its readiness to assist in developing the state's agricultural sector through the introduction of innovations, technology transfer, and investments in livestock and beef processing.

Malaysia is showing interest in cooperation regarding oil crops. According to the Malaysian High Commissioner to Nigeria, Aiyub Omar, Malaysian agricultural firms with experience in managing large-scale plantations are considering partnerships to expand the state's agricultural capacity. Additionally, the founder of the Agrinexus organization, Dr. Shermal Perera, stated that the company is already working with local partners and exploring prospects for additional investments in the region.

For their part, the leadership of Delta State, represented by Deputy Governor Sir Monday Onyeme, confirmed their interest in attracting new technologies and expertise. The Managing Director of Skyward Resources Group, Chief Eta Enahoro, also noted the positive experience of interacting with Brazilian specialists and expressed readiness for expanding international cooperation.
