Experience of transitioning from office work to microgreen cultivation: the Embryonic Greens case

Crop production

The motivation for Mohit Nijhawan's career change was the health problems of his family members. Having decided to leave a position with an annual income of 90 lakh rupees, the entrepreneur founded the company Embryonic Greens. The initial investment in the project amounted to 30,000 rupees.

Since the launch of the Greenu brand in 2022, the company has established the cultivation of over 75 cultivars of microgreens. At present, sales volumes have reached thousands of trays per month, which has allowed the enterprise to reach an annual income of 1.44 crore rupees, while ensuring profitability.

In addition to production activities, Mohit Nijhawan is engaged in disseminating knowledge about agricultural technologies. As part of his work, he conducts educational programs aimed at developing organic microgreen cultivation within India.
