Dhanuka Agritech introduced a new fungicide Polin for rice plant protection

Plant protection

The agricultural company Dhanuka Agritech Ltd has announced the market launch of a new fungicide named Polin. The product was developed through a strategic partnership with the Japanese company Nippon Soda Co Ltd (NISSO) and is designed for plant protection in rice crops against leaf and node blast.

According to the official statement, the product's formula features systemic and dual translaminar mobility. It penetrates inside plant tissues, ensuring the protection of untreated leaf areas and new shoots. The product is recommended to be applied at an application rate of 100 ml per acre using 200 liters of water at the first signs of disease during key developmental stages of the crop. Due to its prolonged protective action, the product allows for a reduction in the number of sprayings, which lowers farmers' costs for labor and chemicals.

Currently, the new product is already on sale in various regions of the states of Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. Simultaneously with the launch, the company is conducting information campaigns among rice growers aimed at combating leaf and node blast.

Managing Director Rahul Dhanuka noted that the new product is based on a patented Japanese development with a fundamentally new mechanism of action. According to him, this solution provides more reliable crop protection against disease and reduces expenses on repeated sprayings. In the coming months, the company intends to introduce other solutions to the market to support agricultural producers.
