AutoNXT has introduced an autonomous electric aerocultivator.
The unit combines the mechanical design of classic aero-cultivators with an electric powertrain. The platform is based on electric motors, a high-capacity lithium-ion battery, and an intelligent power management system. Cloud integration allows users to monitor performance metrics, including travel speed, tillage depth, and wheel slip levels, which ensures uniform field preparation.
The autonomous control system is capable of planning field routes, performing turns at headlands, recognizing obstacles, and resuming work after stops, minimizing the need for human intervention. The machine is designed for tasks such as soil aeration, biomass shredding, seedbed preparation, and crop residue incorporation.
The device's technical specifications include a working width of 1.8 meters with a tillage depth of up to 180 mm. The approximately 450 kg structure is equipped with 36 steel blades and a durable 8 mm frame. The unit is capable of moving at speeds of up to 5 km/h, providing a performance of up to 1.5 acres per hour.
AutoNXT founder and CEO Kaustubh Dhonde noted that the platform makes field operations more predictable and intelligent, reducing reliance on traditional tractor machinery. The company's co-founder and COO, Pankaj Goyal, emphasized that the combination of electrification and automation helps farmers increase productivity, reduce operating costs, and adopt more sustainable farming practices.
