American farmers doubt their support for Trump ahead of the elections

Experts note that rural areas in the US face a difficult situation due to the consequences of high fuel prices and tariff policies. Surveys show that Republicans risk losing Senate seats in traditionally reliable districts.

Although tariffs may protect certain sectors from cheap foreign competition, critics believe the president is applying them indiscriminately, harming farmers. Additional tension was caused by the administration's attempt to reorganize the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), although a federal judge temporarily blocked these sweeping changes.

A farm organization leader stated that the authorities' actions are aimed at destroying the USDA in the middle of an agricultural crisis, describing this as a radical measure and accusing Republican congressmen of inaction in the face of voters' problems.

Some rural residents are disappointed with the current representatives of the ruling party, noting the need to focus on domestic policy to the detriment of foreign policy, otherwise Republicans may lose the upcoming November elections.
