A Texas farmer used an old filing cabinet for vertical gardening

Crop production

Goat breeder Lisa Seger from Texas faced a shortage of garden space and solved this problem in an unusual way. Instead of standard 4x8 or 4x12 garden beds, she filled an old filing cabinet with soil and planted herbs directly in its drawers.

This method has become part of the practice of innovative vertical gardening, which makes it possible to efficiently use limited space for growing greens and various plants. Such an approach is gaining popularity among urban gardeners facing a shortage of space. Compared to traditional farming, vertical gardens use space, water resources, and light more rationally. In addition, according to recent studies, gardening in general has a beneficial effect on a person's mental state.
